Bridge community centre
The Brücke community centre is a measure of the "Social Cohesion" urban development programme in the Brückenstraße/Friedrich-Engels-Ring residential area and brings together stakeholders from politics, administration, business and associations with residents as part of the neighbourhood management.
The aim is to contribute to the improvement of the residential environment and the neighbourhood as well as the development of social and cultural offerings for residents through networking and exchange (e.g. in the neighbourhood council). Among other things, the action fund provides funding for small neighbourhood activities and events.
The community centre is also a contact and information point for residents of all ages and in all situations and, if necessary, refers them to appropriate advice centres and support facilities.
Visitors can use the computer, internet, photocopier and printer as well as a book exchange free of charge.
As an event venue, the community centre offers clubs, volunteers, (self-help) groups and neighbours a space for meetings, sports and leisure activities as well as information events.
