Opening of the town hall exhibition "And then everything was different"

On 14 January 2025, at 4 pm, the next town hall exhibition of the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin will open in the council chamber of the town hall (Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5, 15562 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin).

Under the title "And then everything was different", the group exhibition shows collages, drawings and paintings by artists from RC reweca Berlin gGmbH's "Haus Rüdersdorfer Grund". The artists share a common fate: their lives suddenly changed in a dramatic way - through an accident or an acute illness. Nothing is as it was. The construction worker, the architect, the competitive athlete... None of them can pursue their chosen profession or live with their family. The meaning of life had to be reinvented. Today, these men and women live in Rüdersdorf in the centre for people with acquired brain damage.

They meet twice a week to get creative. The approaches are very individual. Everyone has their own style, their own ideas, their own material. Some of the results can be seen in this exhibition. At the opening, there will be insights into the work and musical accompaniment by employees of the RC reweca Berlin gGmbH day employment centre.

As usual, the opening of the town hall exhibition is open to the public and free of charge, but to make it easier to plan, please register at ortsleben@ruedersdorf.de or by telephone on 033638 / 85-316.

The exhibition will then be freely accessible in the town hall corridors on the 1st and 2nd floors during general opening hours until 28 March 2025.
