From 16 September 2021 - amended Corona Transit Ordinance

A new corona regulation comes into force tomorrow, Thursday. In addition to the so-called 7-day incidence (i.e. the number of nine infections per 100,000 people within the last seven days), other parameters will be used to assess the current risk situation:

  • Nationwide seven-day hospitalisation incidence (number of patients hospitalised with COVID-19 in the last seven days per 100,000 people),
  • Seven-day incidence (number of new infections within the last seven days per 100,000 people),
  • Number of intensive care treatment capacities available nationwide and their utilisation and
  • Number of people vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus (nationwide vaccination rate).

In future, the seven-day hospitalisation incidence will be used as a guideline. This means that the measures will be adapted to the actual utilisation of the healthcare system.

Details of the regulation can be found in both the contact regulation and the press release from the state government.
