"Courage and Expertise - Women in Brandenburg" is the motto of the fifth award ceremony of the "Entrepreneur of the State of Brandenburg 2011" competition. Self-employed women have until 27 March to enter the competition, which is endowed with prize money of between 500 and 3,000 euros.
As part of the 8th Women Entrepreneurs and Founders Day (UTG) on 20 May, Minister President Matthias Platzeck, as patron of the competition, will present the prizes at the State Chancellery in Potsdam.
There are over 35,000 self-employed female entrepreneurs in Brandenburg and every third new business today is founded by a woman.
Since 2003, the "Women Entrepreneurs of Brandenburg" prize has been awarded every two years to energetic female entrepreneurs who are particularly committed to both their employees and the region.
