Around three months after the official ground-breaking ceremony, the cycle path, which is over one kilometre long, is now officially open for use. The construction, which cost around €550,000, was realised by the company PORR Verkehrswegebau GmbH.
The new cycle link between the two districts is the realisation of a route that has been demanded for years and will make the route to school in the direction of the school campus in Rüdersdorf much safer.
Durch die Fertigstellung des Radweges wird bereits die fünfte der insgesamt 36 Einzelmaßnahmen des im Herbst letzten Jahres verabschiedeten Radverkehrskonzeptes der Gemeinde Rüdersdorf bei Berlin abgeschlossen. 21 weitere Maßnahmen befinden sich bereits in Bearbeitung.
