Final spurt: Further LEADER applications in the LAG Märkische Seen approved

In a further project selection process, the board of the Local Action Group (LAG) Märkische Seen e.V. has enabled 10 further projects to apply for funding from the EU LEADER funding programme.

12 projects with a total investment volume of around €1.7 million applied for the 14th funding programme with a planned funding volume of €2.1 million. As part of the project selection process, 10 projects achieved the required minimum number of points.
Funding is to be provided for the conversion of the Herzfelde community centre, the conversion of the Rei-chenberg daycare centre for use as a residential group, the design of open spaces and a baking oven for the Langes Haus Altfriedland e.V. association as well as new event technology for cultural events in Buckow.
The Märkische Seen LAG is planning its own project on the topic of BauKultur - raising awareness and exploring opportunities in dealing with architectural heritage in the region. The expansion of the village barn in Prädikow, a community development concept for the municipality of Prötzel and a project by Seenland Oder-Spree e.V. to develop barrier-free tourism offers are also intended to provide important impetus for the region.

A total of 168 projects with a total investment volume of almost €42.4 million were thus launched. The complete list can be found on the LAG website.

The LAG would like to point out that the funding period is coming to an end and it is currently assumed that the last opportunity to apply for LEADER funding will be in spring 2020. Project sponsors who wish to submit a project for funding by the deadline of 5 March 2020 should contact the office shortly in order to clarify the framework conditions of the procedure.
