The Märkisch-Oderland waste management company (EMO) has been running a pilot scheme since 2022 and will continue to do so for the whole of 2023. As part of this trial, larger quantities of green waste that are not disposed of in the home compost or in the green bin can also be handed in at the Rüdersdorf waste transfer station for a fee.
Green waste is accepted at the collection points as "compostable waste" in accordance with the waste disposal statutes of the district of Märkisch-Oderland.
This is biologically recyclable garden waste such as
- Foliage,
- Grass,
- Tree and shrub cuttings (branch or trunk diameter max. 10 cm).
The waste transfer station (Horst Willhelm Otto Weg, 15562 Rüdersdorf near Berlin directly on the B1/5) is open from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm.
Alternatively, please use the authorised composting facilities in the district to dispose of larger quantities of compostable waste (green and garden waste) in accordance with the provisions of Section 16 (4) of the waste disposal statutes.
