At its meeting on 13 February 2020, the municipal council adopted a resolution in connection with the "Resolution on the cancellation of the change ban in the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin in the district of Herzfelde, for the area covered by development plan no. 41 'Bergbaufolgelandschaft alte Tonlöcher'" and as a follow-up to the "Resolution on the exploration of possible subsequent uses in the area of the clay opencast mine/post-mining landscape in Herzfelde", the following statement was issued with one abstention and 21 votes in favour and it was decided to publish this statement on the website of the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin:
"The development objectives of Herzfelder Kreislaufwirtschafts- und Verwertungs GmbH that have become known to date are in conflict with the planning objectives of the land use plan. The municipality's intention is that only the completion of the mining operations plan is permitted. After that, the established area is to be cultivated."
