The municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin is obliged to have the stability of the gravestones in the municipality's cemeteries checked at least once a year. This year's inspection will be carried out by the company BALLAST+BEUKER Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG from 10 to 12 May 2021.
The cemeteries are approached in the following order:
- OT Rüdersdorf, Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße
- OT Rüdersdorf, Alt-Rüdersdorf
- OT Lichtenow
- OT Hennickendorf
- OT Herzfelde
- OT Rüdersdorf, Schulzenhöhe
- OT Rüdersdorf, Kalkberge
Regular checks for stability can significantly minimise the risk of accidents in cemeteries caused by toppling gravestones. If there are indications that the stability of gravestones, other structures or parts thereof is no longer guaranteed, those responsible for maintenance are obliged to take immediate remedial action.
Endangered gravestones are labelled with a warning sticker. The relatives will also receive a letter requesting them to restore the stability of the monument.
