Saturday, 4 December 2021, was the last day of training and therefore the examination day for this year's part 1 squad training. This year, this "basic training" was carried out together with the Petershagen/Eggersdorf volunteer fire brigade. In a total of 73 hours of training, the participants were taught the basic theoretical and practical knowledge required for emergency services in the volunteer fire brigade. The instructors, who spent a great deal of time preparing for the individual training topics and taught them to the participants on a total of 7 training days, also came from the ranks of the Petershagen/Eggersdorf and Rüdersdorf near Berlin volunteer fire brigades.
A total of 17 comrades successfully completed this basic training course and I would like to congratulate them once again. I wish you all the best for your future careers in the volunteer fire brigade, much success and that you return to your families healthy from every deployment. I would also like to thank the instructors and the comrades who took care of the catering.
As a thank you to the instructors, I was presented with a firefighter's helmet on behalf of each individual participant. It goes without saying that this helmet will be given a place of honour.
I wish all comrades and citizens a peaceful and happy Christmas season, please stay healthy.
With best regards
Fire brigade leader
