District Administrator Gernot Schmidt promotes vaccination days in MOL

Race against time - District Administrator Gernot Schmidt promotes vaccination days in Märkisch-Oderland

Everyone is talking about the coronavirus vaccinations and we have all recently been thinking about whether and which vaccination against the coronavirus would be suitable for us.

Unlike at the beginning of this year, more vaccine is now available at
. District Administrator Gernot Schmidt is promoting the Märkisch-Oderland district's vaccination campaign and calling on all citizens to take up the vaccination offer.

"We are currently offering vaccination programmes in all regions of the district. We move from municipality to municipality and vaccinate between 400 and 1,200 doses in one day. It takes an enormous amount of effort to organise these vaccination days. We are very grateful that we are able to organise this huge effort every week together with the communities, doctors' surgeries and our hospital. We know that we are in a race against time. A race in which as many people as possible should be vaccinated - because what we are doing here is our preparation for the fourth wave. It would be negligent to believe that corona is over, as much as I would like it to be. The number of cases will rise again in autumn. The only thing left for us all to do is vaccinate.

Another big vaccination day will take place on 2 July 2021 - this time in Altlandsberg. Appointments for a vaccination with Johnson & Johnson can be booked at https://www.altlandsberg.de/. No second vaccination is required for this vaccine.
