Music events in the museum park

There was good news recently for all those who had to do without events for a long time due to the coronavirus restrictions: The health department of the district and the public order office of the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin have once again authorised events in the Museumspark Rüdersdorf. As nice as it is that people are allowed to come together to celebrate in the open air, experience over the past two weekends has shown that this also causes noise pollution for local residents. An unfavourable setting of the loudspeaker technology and technical adversities led to a more far-reaching sound transmission than planned right up to neighbouring residential buildings.

As a municipality, we take the justified complaints of citizens very seriously and ask for the opportunity to show that things can be better with this weekend's event. A permit has been granted for the current event for Friday and Saturday until 10 pm. On Sunday, the music event will fade out at a low volume in a limited area of the Museum Park.

This weekend will be decisive in assessing the extent to which music events - with the help of the technical possibilities - can be authorised until midnight again in future in a way that is friendly to residents.

Thank you for your understanding,
Your public order office
