From 15 June 2020, daycare centres in the state of Brandenburg will resume regular operations.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has announced that daycare centres will resume regular operations from 15 June 2020, giving all children an unrestricted legal entitlement to education, care and support.
The state government is expected to publish a recommended framework hygiene plan for daycare centres on Friday of this week. On this basis, the facilities will decide to what extent daycare centres can be re-opened by parents and which hygiene measures must be maintained. The care of all children remains unaffected.
This will not change anything in day-to-day care practice for facilities run by local authorities, as normal upstream operations have already been taking place here since 2 June 2020. There may be a relaxation of the hygiene regulations applied to date.
