To mark the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia on 17 May, the rainbow flag will fly in front of the town hall.
This year, the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin is once again sending out a signal of tolerance and acceptance as well as the diversity of lifestyles in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin, Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg and beyond. On 17 May 1990, the WHO General Assembly decided to remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses. To mark this date, 17 May was later proclaimed the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
