After several construction stops and delays, work on the new construction of the Stolp Bridge is continuing. The ironworkers on the Rüdersdorf side are currently in the process of constructing the steel reinforcements for the bridge's foundation according to a plan that seems uncanny to the layman. They will have completed their work by the middle of the 7th calendar week. After that, the pit that is currently still in place will be filled with concrete. As soon as the concrete has hardened, the above-ground work will begin. The bridge abutments will be constructed first, followed by the superstructure in various stages. The Brandenburg State Road Authority, the client for the project, expects the bridge to be operational by the end of the year. However, it is not yet possible to say whether it will be open to all traffic or only to certain types of traffic. Remaining work will have to be carried out next year, but this will not rule out the possibility of using the new structure.
