The state government has decided on further opening steps, which it announced in a press release. To this end, the 7th SARS-CoV-2 Containment Ordinance has been amended. Further relaxations have also been announced. The basis is always the so-called 7-day incidence in the districts, i.e. how many new infections there have been per 100,000 inhabitants* in the last 7 days. The daily updated figures can be found on the dashboard of the state of Brandenburg.
Excerpts from the press release:
"Important decisions on nurseries and schools: From 31 May, primary schools in districts and independent cities with a stable seven-day incidence below 50 will return to full face-to-face teaching. Secondary schools will follow on 7 June under this condition. [...] At the same time, the cabinet agreed to decide on further steps towards reopening next Tuesday. These are to apply successively from 3 June and will affect tourism, culture and sport, for example. Discussions on the details are still planned with representatives of the affected areas as well as the district administrators and mayors.
The prerequisite for full face-to-face teaching from 31 May and 7 June is that the seven-day incidence is below 50 for three consecutive days. The switch from alternating to face-to-face teaching will take place on the following Monday after the relevant districts or independent cities have published the relevant information. This means that after-school care centres at primary schools will also reopen (including care during the summer holidays). If face-to-face teaching has started, it will remain in place until the start of the summer holidays, unless the regulations of the federal emergency brake take effect from an incidence of more than 100. The opening of the daycare centres is not tied to any additional incidence limit. [...]
As things stand today, the regulation (50 incidence limit) would apply to the districts of Barnim, Dahme-Spreewald, Märkisch-Oderland, Ostprignitz-Ruppin, Potsdam-Mittelmerk, Prignitz and the independent city of Potsdam. [...]
