The municipal budget comprises all income and expenditure of the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin. The municipality draws up a budget so that it has a clear picture of the money it receives and spends. This lists the expected income and expenditure. The income is compared with the necessary and planned expenditure, for example personnel costs or the costs of building new roads or daycare centres. The income is then compared with the expenditure and it is determined which new plans (investments) can be realised with the money available. This budget is valid for a certain period of time, usually one year. The expected revenues are, for example, taxes, levies from the state, subsidies or fees.
The budget is adopted by the municipal council .
